Recent & Upcoming Exhibitions
I have just returned to the US after a fruitful and regenerative residency at Atelier d’Art de La Boule Rouge in Saint-Étienne, France. I developed several new pieces, including soft sculptures with zippers from blue-collar work wear and embossed mixed-media drawings. This month, I am also looking forward to the opening of Art on Paper 2026 at the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, NC, where I will be showing 4 works on paper in excellent company! The show will be on view from August 29th – April 18th, 2027 and the opening will be on October 17th from 2-4 pm.
Je viens de terminer une résidence d’artiste à l’Atelier d’Art de La Boule Rouge, à Saint-Étienne qui m’a bien nourrie et préparé pour la rentrée! J’ai pu y développer plusieurs nouvelles idées de projets, et notamment des sculptures souples intégrant des fermetures éclair issues des bleus de travail. Public Art
In June, I was excited to install We the People, a 21 ft (6.5 m.) long sculpture produced from welded steel chain! The piece is on view at the Art Complex Museum, Duxbury, MA and was commissioned for the exhibition Under Construction: America at 250, which is on view through August 2027.
En juin, j’ai installé “We the People”, une sculpture de 6,5 mètres de long produite à partir de chaînes en acier soudées ! L’œuvre est expos à l’Art Complex Museum de Duxbury (Massachusetts) près de Boston ; elle a été créée pour l’exposition “Under Construction: America at 250”, et sera visible jusqu’en août 2027.
| Publications An article that I wrote with the help of several colleagues, “Navigating Expectations: Community-Engaged Public Art and Aging” was just published by Catalyst Journal (Wake Forest University). This case study explores an interdisciplinary, community-engaged project between the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) and the Creative Aging Network of North Carolina (CAN-NC) that integrates public art, experiential learning, and principles of healthy aging. Je viens de publier un article avec mon équipe de recherche intitulé « Navigating Expectations: Community-Engaged Public Art and Aging », dans la revue Catalyst Journal. Cette étude de cas porte sur un projet interdisciplinaire et participatif mené conjointement par l’Université de Caroline du Nord à Greensboro (UNCG) et le Creative Aging Network of North Carolina (CAN-NC), qui associe art public, apprentissage par l’expérience et principes du vieillissement en bonne santé. |
