Happy New Year! /Meilleurs voeux!
After a year-end trip to Europe, I am back in the US and excited to begin the New Year with new art! I had the good fortune to spend the first week of 2026 as an artist-in-residence at the Elf School in Western North Carolina. Between studio time and solo hiking in the woods around mountain lakes (and even on a snippet of the Appalachian Trail!), I was able to unwind and build up some energy reserves for the year to come. I completed three large embroideries and numerous works on paper that I am excited to share over the next few months!
Après un voyage de fin d’année en Europe où j’ai fait le plein des inspirations dans la conférence Opening the Bin ainsi que dans les musées et galeries que j’ai pu visiter, me voici de retour aux États-Unis, ravie de commencer l’année avec de nouvelles créations ! J’ai eu la chance de passer la première semaine de 2026 en résidence d’artiste à l’Elf School, en Caroline du Nord. Entre travail en atelier, randos solo sur les sentiers et autour des lacs de montagne, j’ai pu me ressourcer pour l’année à venir. J’y ai réalisé trois grandes broderies et de nombreuses œuvres sur papier que j’ai hâte de vous présenter dans les prochains mois !
Solo Show
Save the date! My upcoming solo show, Work Ethics, will open on Thursday, April 9th at the Central Gallery in Revolution Mill, a former textile mill in Greensboro, NC. This will be my first local exhibition since I began teaching at UNCG & I am excited to share my work with everyone! The exhibition will be on view from April 9th to June 27th.
Ma prochaine exposition individuelle, Work Ethics, aura lieu du 9 avril au 27 juin, 2026 à la Central Gallery de Revolution Mill, à Greensboro, en Caroline du Nord. Ce sera ma première exposition locale depuis que j’enseigne à l’UNCG et je suis ravie de pouvoir enfin présenter mon travail ici !
Exhibitions
I have long been interested in showing at OSU’s Urban Arts Space in Columbus, OH and in December, I got a chance to do so with the group show, Artist Commune: Being and Belonging and I am now looking forward to another group exhibition with a similar title, Belonging, UNC Pembroke’s 15th Annual International Juried Exhibition, which will be on view in the A.D. Gallery from February 12-March 6, 2026.
This summer, I will be in Massachusetts to install a large scale outdoor public artwork for the Art Complex Museum, We the People, which will be on view from June 14th 2026 to August 29th, 2027. More info coming soon!
En décembre, j’ai participé à l’exposition collective « Artist Commune : Being and Belonging » à l’espace d’art urbain de l’OSU à Columbus, dans l’Ohio et j’aurai bientôt une sculpture dans une autre exposition collective au titre similaire, « Belonging », à la galerie A.D. de UNC Pembroke du 12 février au 6 mars 2026.
Cet été, je serai dans le Massachusetts pour installer une œuvre d’art publique extérieure de grande envergure pour le Art Complex Museum, intitulée « We the People », qui sera visible du 14 juin 2026 au 29 août 2027.
