Happy New Year and Solo Show News!
Dear Friends, Greetings in 2025! Please accept this virtual Valentine’s Day card; let’s become secret admirers of each other’s work! Up first, is a solo show, Human Resources, on view at Hastings Art Gallery at Sandhills CC in Pinehurst, NC though March 2nd.
Who is working today and what kind of work do we, as a society, value? This exhibition of sculptures, textiles, and surfaces produced from blue-collar workwear asks viewers to reflect on where the objects in our lives are made and who is making them. Kasia Ozga’a cast, sewn, and printed forms evoke bodies kept out of sight and out of mind that produce products vital to our daily lives.
Chers amis, Bonne Année 2025 ! Je vous envoie ce petit aperçu de mon travail pour la Saint Valentin. Tout d’abord, une exposition perso à Pinehurst, en Caroline du Nord, est visible à la Hastings Art Gallery jusqu’au 2 mars:
« Qui travaille aujourd’hui et quel travail est valorisé parmi nous? Cette exposition de sculptures, de textiles et de surfaces produites à partir des bleus de travail demande aux spectateurs de réfléchir à l’endroit où sont fabriqués les objets de notre vie et à qui les fabrique. Les formes moulées, cousues et imprimées évoquent des corps tenus hors de vue et hors de l’esprit et qui néanmoins produisent des produits essentiels à notre vie quotidienne.»

I am thrilled to participate in the group show Beyond the Surface at Tiger Strikes Asteroid: Greenville. The opening reception at TSA:GVL in Greenville, SC is at 6:15 on Saturday, February 15, 2025!
I also currently have a sculpture in the show Maps: Contours of a Story curated by Saskia Jordá at the Scottsdale Civic Center Public Gallery through March 27th.
The group show Coined in the South curated by Jonathan Stuhlman continues at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC through April 27th!

ArtFields 2025!
I’m looking forward to sharing the artwork, Essential Workers in Lake City, SC this summer during the annual ArtFields Exhibition. My piece was selected and will be on view during one of the Southeast’s largest and most prestigious art events from April 25 – May 3, 2025.
J’ai hâte de partager l’œuvre d’art Essential Workers à Lake City, SC cet été lors de l’exposition annuelle ArtFields. Mon installation sera exposée lors de l’un des événements artistiques les plus importants du Sud-Est des États-Unis, du 25 avril au 3 mai 2025.
