Labor/Movement at Goggle Works
Exposition Individuelle à Reading, PA

Dear friends, I am so pleased to invite you to my upcoming solo show, Labor/Movement on view from November 1 – January 5th in the Schmidt Gallery at the Goggle Works  Center for the Arts in Reading, PA. Through textile, soft sculpture and metal casting, I reflect on how class-based and collective identities can both empower and oppress individuals. Specific artworks in the show take apart and recombine worn anonymous uniforms to produce hybrid objects that ask all of us who is laboring now, why and in what conditions? The show will open with a First Friday Gallery Reception on November 1st from 6-8 pm!
