This series, sculpted in 2008 and fired in 2014, is made from red earthenware covered in a rare reflective enamel glaze. The works are based on the forms of everyday objects, assorted egg cartons, that I collected over a period of several months. I decided to transform my mass-produced trash into a highly valuable, singular object by repeatedly dipping the objects in clay slip and letting the process of repeatedly wetting the original cardboard forms, determine the shape of the final works.
