Rust Drawings

This Ongoing series of 20+ large drawing on paper are produced with rust obtained from the nails from the wooden pallets used in the Pallet Bones series of sculptures. The abstract images involve rust as a type of paint as well as a powdered pigment, glue, and leftover acrylic paint from a public art installation. Through graphic techniques including chance drying methods and visual experimentation, the materials evoke evidence of passing time and accumulated artifacts.
