Cartographie Personnelle

This sculpture is a wooden puzzle game measuring 120 cm x 83 cm. The form was created by layering the outlines of every city and every country in which I’ve lived for more than 3 months. The resulting personal geography created a puzzle game that visitors can play and interact with.

This Site Specific installation was created in a park in Paris, France and supported by CiteCulture and an FSDIE grant. It lasted a month and a half, during which time the elements were modified by local climate conditions.

This piece, Silence is Golden, reframes the surrounding pond, creating a window that alludes to the transformative effect of the human presence on the natural landscape. It was created during an artist residency sponsored by the municipal government of Rudnik.
